SK Shapes is Now an Official Levitaz Distributor in Switzerland
Since 2020, SK Shapes has been working closely as an industry partner with the Austrian premium hydrofoil manufacturer, Levitaz.
In recent years, we have been primarily involved in the Formula Kite sector, offering our expertise in hydrofoil tuning, trimming, and repair as a service. Working with the world elite in this Olympic sport challenged us, and we always strived to offer athletes the absolute best service. The pursuit of perfection and the drive to extract maximum performance from a product align one hundred percent with the SK Shapes philosophy. That exact mindset is what motivated us to continue expanding this partnership over the years.
The Vision: High Performance for Everyone
When Levitaz informed us in early 2025 that they wanted to make their 10+ years of R&D experience in race hydrofoils accessible to everyone, we were extremely curious.
During a personal visit in mid-2025, we were introduced to the “Levitaz Free Series“ concept. There were no physical prototypes yet, but highly realistic animations were proudly presented to us on a big screen.
To be completely honest: Before the presentation, we were skeptical about whether it made sense to enter such a highly competitive market. But it quickly became clear that the product and brand managers at Levitaz had analyzed the market meticulously. They realized there was no manufacturer offering a streamlined product portfolio that is highly accessible for everyday riders without under-challenging the pros. Furthermore, they were committed to making zero compromises on quality and providing the best possible service.
Exclusive Distribution and Mutual Trust in Switzerland
After this pitch, we were completely blown away and knew immediately: SK Shapes wants to be part of this new era. Just a few weeks later, we reached an agreement to take over the distribution and retail for Switzerland—without ever having tested the products ourselves. This was a massive show of mutual trust.
When we finally got to test the final prototypes of the Levitaz Free Series in various conditions with both kite and wing in early 2026, our high expectations were actually exceeded. The Levitaz R&D team executed the product management’s vision perfectly on the water.
Even though we were convinced of the product from the very beginning, we took a few more weeks to thoroughly test all configurations inside and out with various freeriders and athletes from the SK Family. Even after countless hours on the water with the Levitaz Free Series, we didn’t log a single negative session. On the contrary, the advantages of this new concept compared to the competition became increasingly clear.
Levitaz Free Series Now Available in Our Online Shop
The Free Series has been officially available since mid-2026, and we have expanded our online shop to include these fantastic products. We are incredibly grateful to Levitaz for the trust they’ve placed in us over the years. It fills us with pride that, as a partner in Switzerland, we can now actively help put a smile on the faces of watersports enthusiasts who value quality, performance, accessibility, and aesthetics.
